Overview

Allied is seeking a professional, dynamic Sales Development Representative who is responsible for driving qualified leads and creating opportunities for the sales executive.  A major component of this role will focus on activities to drive increased pipeline at the front end of the sales cycle and nurture prospective clients to contribute to the overall future sales pipeline.  The successful SDR will secure appointments through continuous prospecting.  Both inbound and outbound prospecting will be required using various mediums while educating and positioning value for prospective clients.   This is an engaging, fast-paced environment, and the position will report to the Director of Inside Sales.  The candidate should enjoy working in a collaborative environment and must have a passion for success while meeting and exceeding goals.  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Inside Sales Director to execute on building sales pipeline and refine messaging with an account based approach  
  • Create and refine target lists with relevant information for prospecting and driving value based messaging and brand awareness to the market
  • Execute on daily outbound calls, and emails to targeted prospects and inbound leads
  • Qualify all sales leads with a criteria based approach
  • Utilize SalesForce.com to document and track activities including validating and updating key contacts and stakeholder’s information
  • Utilize social media tools and mediums to prospect and drive business to opportunities
  • Work synergistically in a team environment with your other SDR’s and Sales Executives
  • Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals
  • Learn best practices of telecom and the cloud based solutions we offer and how to effectively communicate with business executives

Required Skills:

  • BS/BA and 1-3 years of B2B sales and or sales development experience required (experience selling technology and or technology services preferred)
  • Results driven, competitive natured with a solid work ethic
  • Track record of showing success driving qualified meetings a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the astute ability to listen
  • Outstanding time management skills with ability to multitask
  • Willingness to be very active making outbound prospecting calls  
  • Familiar, efficient with and willingness to utilize and document computer related sales tools like SalesForce.com
  • SalesForce.com experience preferred
  • Ability to learn and understand new products and technology is crucial
  • Ability to adapt to change, take direction, self-evaluate and self-correct
