Telecommunications Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Telecommunications Project Manager’s primary responsibilities will involve managing the implementation of Allied’s suite of voice and data services.  You will be responsible for the complete implementation lifecycle of fiber and copper based ethernet circuits AND hosted VOIP, SIP, and IP-PRI services. You will interact directly with customers, vendors, commercial property managers, building engineers and internal peers.  You must a maintain a high level of professionalism, focus, and patience managing multiple competing priorities in high pressure environment.  You must have excellent time management and organization skills managing a high volume of tasks and activities via email, Slack, phone, and Salesforce.com.  You must be able to communicate technical information and telecom acronyms in a manner the customer can comprehend. You must be able to effectively manage multiple potentially frustrated and demanding customers, ranging from a front desk reception to a C-Level technology executive. You will be managing upwards of 50+ voice and data projects ongoing.  These could be multi-location and multi-seat hosted VOIP customers (5 – 500 users).  You must be able to drive tight install intervals with reluctant or slow to respond customers.

 

Job Functions:

 

Provisioning

  • Interface with Data Provisioning Team Directly to Ensure Delivery of Circuit.
  • Schedule Access, Surveys, and Other Necessary Dispatches as Needed for Carriers.
  • Manage Carrier Delivery Intervals, Processes & Escalate Accordingly.
  • Understanding of LNP (Local Number Portability Processes)
  • Understanding of VoIP User Setup and Call Flow Designs (Hunt Groups, Auto-Attendants, Line Appearances)

 

Project Management

  • Conduct Welcome Calls with Customers to Determine Key Milestones, Review Products/Services, Assess Requirements/Special Needs, and SET EXPECTATIONS.
  • Drive Tight Install Intervals to Billing by Coordinating Internal Engineering and Field Resources with Proper Lead Time.
  • Independently Manage Customer Expectations with Minimal Escalations to Management.
  • Ability to Interpret Site Surveys to Interpret Carrier DMARC for Circuit Extension and Installation Location of Allied’s Equipment.
  • Ensure Appropriate Equipment is Configured and Staged for Installation.
  • Ability to Understand Space, Power, and Inside Wiring Requirements to Extend Service within a Building.
  • Interface Directly with Customers and Property Management to Schedule Dispatches and Access.
  • Interpret and Obtain COI (Certificate of Insurance) Requirements with Property Management.
  • Maintain and Continually Update Your Order Management and Circuit Records in Salesforce.
  • Produce Weekly Reports on Individual Project Status.

 

Competencies/Qualifications:

  • 2-3 Years Telecom Project Management Experience with Hosted VOIP Required
  • Salesforce Knowledge a Plus
  • Broadsoft Broadworks Experience a Plus
  • Excellent Project Management Skills
  • High Degree of Initiative
  • Ability to Self-Manage with Minimal Supervision
  • Superb Time Management Skills
  • TEAM PLAYER
