Talent Acquisition Specialist

Allied Telecom Group is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team and help take us to the next level!

 

Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting. They will use their experience and skills to build upon the existing recruiting processes and strategies in place, creating a top tier recruiting process. They will collaborate with hiring managers to identify needs and key performance factors in order to develop sourcing pools and establish interviewing criteria. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will proactively create applicant pools and talent pipelines by posting job ads through job boards, social media and employee referral programs. They will evaluate applications, review resumes, conduct reference checks and complete initial phone interviews to establish a narrow candidate pool. They will make recommendations to hiring managers on the top candidates for in-person interviews.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will use their abilities to source, screen and prepare candidates for interviews with hiring managers. They are the public face of the company during the recruiting process, so they must ensure positive candidate experiences from the initial application to the final on-boarding process. They will maintain awareness of competitor practices, industry trends and recruitment standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring manager to determine staffing needs.
  • Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone or in person), administer appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, make recommendations for hire (or not hire)
  • Serve as an expert identifying top candidates.
  • Use traditional and nontraditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Develop advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Manage internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
  • Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  • Communicate important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, confidentiality agreements).
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Manage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  • Maintain memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry.

In addition to Recruiting Functions, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will also have the following duties:

  • Manage and Facilitate New Employee Onboarding, including new hire orientation
  • Training Facilitation, work with and assist HR Director and Management to facilitate training and develop corporate training program
  • Manage company organizational charts
  • Employee File Maintenance (assist HR Specialist)
  • Conduct Exit Interviews
  • Benefits Administration Assistance, including assistance with Open Enrollment, New Hire Enrollment, Q&A Resource
  • Serve as Backup Payroll Administrator
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Competencies

  • 2+ years’ full-cycle Talent Acquisition experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and consultative skills to work closely with hiring managers at all levels (including Executive). Strong problem solving and negotiation skills. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources Management or related field or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience in multiple recruiting methodologies, including direct sourcing, networking, cold calling and referrals. Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and ability to deliver results on multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of current federal, state and local laws and regulations.  Solid understanding of Affirmative Action and OFCCP regulations regarding Applicant Tracking.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Applicant Tracking Systems and in-depth knowledge of data mining and internet research capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Standard Payroll Administration Practices
  • ADP WorkForce Now experience a plus

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners.
