UC Specialist

Job Summary:

The UC Specialist will directly communicate with potential and current clients to inform them of how Allied’s VoIP solutions can address their telecommunication needs. Your focus will be on Allied's product and service offerings. You should be outgoing and have the ability to handle customer service concerns. Your ability to be patient and allow the customers to clarify their needs is critical. You will break down the client’s needs into terms that can be communicated to the client who may not be an expert in telecommunication services. You will do demonstrations with the sales representative. You will also train clients on Allied’s VoIP platform features and functionality post-implementation. You will assist Sales Reps to better understand customer requirements and solution selling. You will manage voice certification program for new hires as well as annual re-certification for existing Sales employees. You will also manage and update content and curriculum. You will need to understand (we will train you) basic networking and have a general understanding of telecommunications technology. 

 

Job Functions:

Demonstrations to Clients

  • Implement policy for demonstrations that maximizes time and resources
  • Conduct onsite or Webex demonstrations
  • Empower sales representatives to perform demonstrations

Sales Support

  • Serve as the Voice subject matter expert bureau to support Sales
  • Direct client calls and meetings to develop solutions for client requirements
  • Ensure email questions are answered
  • Conduct recurring training on Allied’s VoIP products and services
  • Develop formal process for the release of new VoIP products and services to Sales

Order Validation

  • Implement processes for clean order handoff from Sales to Contracts to Service Delivery
  • Develop and manage documentation to capture client requirements and solutions for non-standard and complex requirements so that client expectations are properly set
  • Ensure contracted licenses are properly allocated for products and services needed

Unified Communications

  • Achieve keen understanding of UC technologies both current and future
  • Apply this knowledge to design solutions for prospects business needs/requirements

Complex Client Requirements

  • Collaborate with the project manager, Voice Provisioning, and Voice Engineering to assist non-standard or complex client solutions

Client Training

  • Manage client training post implementation
  • Schedule training with clients
  • Maintain/update all relevel training documentation

Competencies:

  • Confident in your ability to consult with the client and educate them on the specific products and services Allied Telecom sells.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • SPR Interval (3 Business Days) 
  • High Customer Satisfaction for training
  • High Demos Rating and deal closure
  • Training completed within 3 days of install

 

Qualifications:

  • Your past work experiences can include working in retail, restaurant industry, education, training.
  • You should be able to communicate in a direct manner and be flexible and aware of the needs of your listener
  • Telecom experience a plus
